Over-night Waffles

Updated: Jul 5, 2020

My daughter and I always enjoy waffles for breakfast! One week, we were overwhelmed with a busy schedule, but I still wanted to surprise her with these. I knew our mornings were going to be too busy to make waffles from scratch, so I found this recipe....

Over-night waffles!!

They are so easy! You just add all the ingredients into a bowl and stick them in the fridge overnight. They come out oh-so- fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside!

First, combine all ingredients!

Mix the batter until it is thoroughly combined

Then cover the batter and stick it in the fridge overnight.

The next morning, pull out the batter when ready to use and give it a good stir.

Now, make waffles according to the manufacture's directions.

Either serve the waffles right away or let them cook on a drying rack to avoid them getting soggy.

Serve with a dollop of butter and drown in syrup....Enjoy!

Over-night Waffles

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

2 teaspoons yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 3/4 cups milk

2 eggs

1/3 cup cooking oil

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Mix batter until thoroughly combined.

  3. Put the batter in the fridge and let sit over overnight.

  4. In the morning, stir the batter and then cook according to your waffle makers directions.

  5. Serve immediately or let cool on a cooling rack.

Get creative with your waffles and...

  • Add cinnamon to the batter

  • In place of vanilla, experiment with different extracts (lemon, peppermint, almond, etc)

  • Use fruit flavored syrup on top

These waffles are the perfect solution to any busy morning! They are so easy and so cheap to make!

Enjoy!
